LEGALISED CERTIFIED TRANSLATIONS
Statement of truth, notarization, apostille… Let’s make some clarity!
When referring to translated documents, a statement of truth (or self-certificate letter) is an official statement from the translator themselves. This is usually required in the UK for any kind of legal proceeding.
For some purposes or institutions, this is not sufficient. Some countries are part of the Hague Apostille convention, and they require an Apostille (FCO).
Other countries may also need the document to receive a Notarisation before the apostille. This is done by a notary through a notarial certificate.

I can issue a statement of truth on my letterheaded paper including my electronic or handwritten signature and the official stamp from my Professional Translators’ Association (CIOL), deal with your Apostille procedure, and help you notarise your translations without worry.
